Our natural red oak is Select and Better Grade, the highest quality available. Trillium floors are E1 Certified and have the Deco-Logical seal for reduced resource consumption.

A very good flooring alternative.,

"I mulled this one over for a good long while...should I buy Dubeau or similar 3/4" solid oak or Trillium or similar brand composites? Here's why I chose the Trillium: Uni-Clic really works well, installs faster and you can glue, nail or float it. I floated mine and it looks great. It takes longer to prepare the room than it does to lay the floor. The 3mm top oak finish is solid and really, unless you have a pak of dogs in the house, when was the last time anyone sanded their floors? Also, you don't need to kill as many oak trees to get the flooring because the composite layers are basically 1/2" of softwood lumber, a rapidly renewable resource...so you help the environment while making your life simpler.
My only minor complaint relates to the fact that HD does not carry an abundant stock of T-moldings in the same shades it sells flooring. So that meant I had to buy an untinted oak T-molding, tint it and then varathane it. That aside, I really like the outcome with this floor and I'm planning to do the other 2 rooms this fall. Highly recommend.

"We had just installed the smoked walnut floor and we are pleased with the results The only item that I would like to see better is the reduce having a bit more lenglth at the first step. We are in a condo and had difficulty fitting the reduce from the floor to a vinyl tile as it is lower that the ceramic tiles."
