good but leaves get stuck in the head,
July 27, 2011

"i bought this to go with my ryobi 4 stroke 30cc trimmer.
on the pakage it says that it cuts through trees up to 6 in,i cut a 26in tree with it(by going around the trunk).
the one problem is, the head seomtimes catches leaves and jams.
always use gloves and SAFTY GLASES b/c pieces of wood fly evrywhere while cuting.

"Have only used this a couple of times but does what is expected. Only thing I think would help would be a way to hold blade up off ground while it is being started."

Cutting up with a Ryobi,
July 8, 2011
By xarismsc

"Product was used as an add-on to my old Ryobi 760 (>20 yrs old).
Had to modify the attaching system, using the clamps provided. No snap on feature on my old unit.
Flexible drive shaft has to be carefully inserted and the attachement head has to be firmly inserted into the extension handle.
Head seems to be robust, and light !!!

Surprising,

"I bought this only half expecting it to be useful. I was surprised that it cuts as well as it does. I expected it to hop around, or be flimsy with the extension on and its neither. It's not as if you can bear down on it, but you really don't need to, and shouldn't do it anyway. Very useful for pruning. My only complaint is that initially, I didn't think it was working right because you had to rev it up a lot before the chain started turning. Once I realized that's what is suppose to happen, i was cool with it."

Ryobi Pole Pruner,
April 20, 2010
By Hughy

"Excellent tool. I was trimming an old black walnut tree, etc. My 2 year old Poulin chain saw is ready for the garbage, so a friend was coming over with his chain saw to help with the larger truck I needed to take down. He was late and I completed the smaller stuff I had to do. So I decided to put the new pole saw to the test and take down the 10" diameter trunk with the pruner. I undercut it, then cut a full 6" slice down one side of the truck. The truck was large but still did not fall. After going to the other side, the "pruner quickly cut the rest and it came down with a crash. I was so surprise that the little pruner did such a good job so quickly!! I highly recommend it."
