LevelQuik LevelQuik RS Self-Leveling Underlayment 22.7kg

LevelQuik ® RS levels interior and exterior floors prior to the installation of ceramic tile, natural stone, resilient flooring, carpet, wood and parquet. Can be applied up to 1" (2.5 cm) thick in one pour. Seeks its own level in minutes. ASTM C627 rated for ceramic tile installations over wood subfloors with joists up to 24" (61 cm) o.c. With proper installation of the flooring system, the use of LevelQuik ® RS can achieve an “Extra Heavy” rating for extra heavy and high impact use in food plants, dairies, breweries and kitchens. Formulated with Controlled Cure Technology™, LevelQuik RS eliminates installation problems of bond failure, crumbling and staining of resilient flooring due to free-moisture found in traditional underlayments. LevelQuik RS cures ultra-fast and develops high early strength for quick installations.

"Part of my basement is an addition and the rooms are fairly small and the concrete floors were trowel finished. It wasn't until I went to lay DriCore that I found out just how uneven and sloping they were!
LevelQuik seemed to be the only product Home Depot carries, so I didn't really have much choice in what to use. My concrete subfloor had been painted with concrete paint, but I still gave it a cost of acrylic primer -- which is the recommend application procedure and stops some of the complaints elsewhere in the reviews from happening (crumbling, setting up too quickly).
You should use EXACTLY the recommended amount of water and mix for several minutes. This product relies on the fine aggregate being in suspension to achieve self levelling. This also means that if the water leaches out of the product too quickly, because you didn't prime for example, you will get set up too quickly and unevenly.
Because I have around an inch of slope in my floor that goes down to one corner, I'm pouring in more than one lift with the first lift being well over half an inch. I'll then mix up more product and spread it over the whole floor and not just the very low area to complete the job.
Be sure to wear rubber gloves when handling the product. Your hands will thank you afterwards."

"did a room size of 10 x 11 used 3 bags mixed easy product did set quickly so make sure that you have it spread out quickly you get about 30mins to play with it. Product will seek its own level but still needs some assistance. Was ready to walk over in just over 4hrs took care of all the dips and holes in my floor"

"I would think if you mix by hand, you'll run into problems.
I have 2 buckets filled with 6.1l of water, I dumped half in while my wife mixed with an electric drill / paddle then added the rest slowly.. Total about 2mins.. I dumped 1 bucket at a time on the floor and pulled it will a rubber rake. Came out pretty flat."

"This floor leveler works exactly as they describe. It is extremely easy to use for the DIY'er. just follow the directions properly, dump it on the floor, give it a quick spread with the backside of a rake and then leave it alone. WORKS AWESOME!!"

Works as described,

"The floor turned out great. I found that as long as you prepared the surface as they suggest and mix the product as they describe then you shouldn't have any problems. I mixed the product while my wife poured it on the floor, don't waste any time as it has to be done quite quickly. It spread out smoothly giving a level surface that didn't require any sanding. Make sure that all the edges are chaulked as this material is initialy like water and will leak out if not properly sealed.
I poured this over a cement floor covering heating cables."

sets up too quickly,

"sets up before finding it's own level. not an effective leveller.
followed the mixing instructions exactly and the product was liquid and flowing when installed and the whole surface was covered, but it did not flow for long enough to get level, even though it was only a 20 sq ft area. cured product is not true enough for tiling. we are going to have to either grind it and patch it or rip it out. disappointed."
