One of many Life long books to own,

"I have bought many of the Home Depot books regardless of my many years of experience and skill in construction. This book like many others has great illustrations and explains the simplest tasks to the more difficult. There is wide variety of designs in this book. If this is the 1st time building a deck this will clearly explain how to determine the materials required. The glossary is very helpful so when your requesting the material to purchase you get what you need and want. Many of the build instructions for deck accessories are included as well. Stairs, handrail, planters and skirting.
I'll have this book for many years to come."

I gave these books for a gift.
I was very happy to see how great these books are for explaining the foundation etc and the items that are needed.

"We decided to build a new deck at our cottage; the old one was built 21 years ago and was starting to show its age, ok it was showing a lot of age. We removed the old deck in the fall and spent the winter planning on our new deck.
On one of our many and routine visits to Home Depot we came across this book “Home Depot Decks 1-2-3” we came across some great ideas and techniques. The book uses clear illustrations and explains topics in detail.
