Great Barbeque,
January 10, 2009
By pipd

"We purchased our first Vermont Casting BBQ 9 years ago, hooked it up to NG, and loved it. Even heat, but back then the pot burner was extra. Other than a good cleaning, it works great and still looks good. We purchased a second for our cottage almost 4 years ago, hooked up to propane, and it too works just as well as the first. We've always had a cover over them when cooled and not in use.
Vermont Castings is a great product. As for things shifting, we've never had that problem., even after the one at the cottage fell over."

Grills Warp - only good for 2 years!,
April 28, 2007
By Fujione
from Ontario
"At the start I could not say enough good things about my Vermont Castings Grill! Great grill space for big cookouts, lots of cooking power, great rotissierie, stainless steel, and easy to keep clean. I even had a dent on the hood and notified the Home Depot and they sent a new one for replacement. I bragged to friends about this grill and even though my friends said it was costly at well over a $1000 at the time explaining that during the summer cooking on a grill almost everynight. Now compare this to the stove in your house, what did you pay for a major appliance in your house! Now here is why I have to say it is a poor product, keeping in mind that the barbeque is at our cottage up north and is only used half the year. Late last summer the grills started to fall out of place in the grilling area, checking the edge they sit on seems to have warped and now the grills fall onto the flames. So I called Home Depot asking what I can do they said since it is 2 years old you need to call the company and we can't do anything. I called the company and they said the heat was to high and would get back to me. Since then there has been no reply. The funny thing is 2 friends have purchased that same grill and love it but now I will be buying another barbeque this summer for the cottage. Hey but if you need a barbeque for 2 years this is your grill!"

Vermont Castings - NG Grill,

"Good grill overall, excellent heat control. Sturdy construction, casters could use a little more clearance for rolling over uneven surfaces."
