" Wow where do I start. First there is the cost. If it was not for the following problems it might be worth it. Second, stock in the store/city/area. They have the main boards but I had to special order the bullnose/leading edge. They also didn't carry the fasteners and had to order them also. Later when the main deck was complete I learned that none of the stores in my area stock the trim edges and deck side treatments. Third, Instalation, there was the boards that have a cavity on the underside. This makes for a number of logistical issues. The floor joists have to be 10" on center at the most and still the floor squeeks like crazy. The fasteners were not a consistant height. This effects the gap between the boards and makes for the longest deck build in history. The fasteners have to be screwed down and then finished by hand with a screw driver to adjust for the diffference in height and make for consistant gaps. This means that some of the fasteners must be left loose to allow for the bottom of the deck board to go under the deck fastener. Yeah nightmare. This also contributes to the squeaking. When winter comes the boards contract so much that you can really only fasten the center of each board (per instructions). This allows for each end to move with the temp changes. The problem is when you attach an all aluminium railing, this fastens the board down and come winter the contraction brakes the edge piece in 6 places. Now you cant replace that leading edge board (the one under the railing) without removing all the deck boards from the house back. That is all them. Then try doing stairs. When stairs are are made with wood you overhang the leading tread to allow for a place for your toes to go. Not so with this stuff. Remember there is a cavity on the bottom so there is noway to build a simple deck stair. Then when you are done you go to order the end and cover parts to cover the ugliest board ends that you have ever seen and the product is no longer carried. So what then? I am going to use vinyl siding parts to hide the ends and finish the sides of the deck. It should be noted that I am a cabinet maker and I have had to build the most complex set of stairs ever for an outside deck. I am sorry this is so long but there was much to say. There are other products out there that are much better. Home depot carries several of them. "
